To My Fellow Republican Committee Members: 

Our Republican victories achieved this year in Westmoreland County, and across the State, were due in part to the selection of qualified, hard working candidates.  It is essential that we continue to seek out and support candidates like this who can continue to build on this momentum.   

As a relative “newbie” member of the Pennsylvania State GOP Committee I approached the 2010 election cycle with no agenda, commitments or preconceived notions.  I guess you could say that I am very similar to the average educated voter in the Commonwealth. Over the last several months I have read about, met, discussed and researched the various Lt. Governor candidates in preparation for next year.  As a result of these efforts it is clear to me that our choice for Lt. Governor should be Joe Watkins. 

Joe possesses all the attributes I am looking for in a candidate for this position. He is bright, articulate, a solid conservative ready to take on the forces of the tax and spend status quo in Harrisburg.  His commitment to restore faith in Government and promote fiscal responsibility will resonate well with the voters in Westmoreland County and across the state.  Joe also has the one trait I always look for in a candidate, the ability to meet someone for the first time and within a few minutes win their support. 

With that being said I enthusiastically endorse Joe Watkins for Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania and I hope you all will consider supporting him as well.
